Paramount Pictures has acquired the Rajiv Joseph and Scott Rothman spec screenplay Draft Day, with Ivan Reitman attached to direct.

The football comedy centers on the struggling Buffalo Bills NFL football team, and their general manager trying to find a star player in the upcoming draft. Rajiv Joseph currently writes for the Showtime series Nurse Jackie, and Scott Rothman has a number of projects in development including First Timers and Frat Boy. Both scribes were classmates at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

David Beaubaire and Josh Phillips are overseeing the project for Paramount. No production schedule was given. Ivan Reitman last directed No Strings Attached in 2011.
