Jack Black has signed on to the comedy, Be Kind Rewind, being directed by Michel Gondry.

The story will focus on Jack as a man whose headaches lead him to believe his brain is melting. The Hollywood Reporter adds his brain is magnetized, leading to the unintentional destruction of movies in his friend's store. In order to keep the store's one loyal customer, an elderly lady with signs of dementia, the pair re-creates a long line of famous films.

Be Kind Rewind begins a two-month production in September in New York; no word on when the film will hit theaters.
