We reported last month that Bryan Singer's new film project was slated to start production this summer and it seems that production start has been delayed. Heat Vision Blog is reporting that Singer's Jack the Giant Killer is now set to start production in February 2011, seven months after it was previously said to start production. Here's an excerpt from the article which lists a reason for the delay.

"One reason given for the delay is more time was needed to figure out visual effects. The movie is effects-intensive, and Singer is planning on previz-ing the movie from start to finish, and will use a process that will allow him to see the giants in-camera as the actors play opposite them."

The site also reported that Singer was having meetings for the title role with actors such as Aaron Johnson (Kick-Ass) and Andrew Garfield (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus), although nobody has been cast for the role as of yet.
