The Jackass franchise has been a cultural phenomenon that has delivered some of the most entertaining content of our generation. The stunts carried out are vicious, dangerous, and unbelievable. It started with shopping carts, and now we witness stunts financed by millions of dollars. The crew behind Jackass are all very charismatic individuals who create on-screen personas that have thrilled audiences for years. Skateboarding culture seems to be the heart of all the films as well as the television show. There is a rebellious spirit behind the Jackass films that make it so fascinating to young adults. With that said, we have seen many negative consequences from the cast, including injuries and drug addiction.

The Jackass franchise comes from the minds of Jeff Tremaine, Spike Jonze, and Johnny Knoxville. Knoxville began his career testing self-defense equipment and writing about the results. His writing caught the eye of Big Brother magazine, where Jeff Tremaine just happened to be an editor. From there, Knoxville began to film stunt videos, gathering future Jackass stars like Chris Pontius and Dave England. Soon after this, their videos caught the eyes of acclaimed filmmaker Spike Jonze. Knoxville was offered a deal to showcase his videos on Saturday Night Live, but he instead decided to produce his own series on MTV. Since then, Jackass has become a staple of modern entertainment, spanning over the course of many years. Let's take a look at the most painful Jackass stunts to date.

A weapons expert explains the technology as a machine that shoots rubber balls at 500 feet per second. Upon the testing of the technology, Margera and Dunn were quite reluctant to do the stunt. However, they all agreed to do the stunt and the rubber balls brought the crew to their knees in pain. Margera actually cries due to the pain, and the welts on their body were quite disturbing.

To make matters worse, Steve-O jumps into shark infested waters. This stunt was certainly an inspiration for the spin-off Wild Boys with Steve-O and Chris Pontius. It is a stunt that would definitely scare anybody afraid of sharks or water.

Several cast members are victims to Knoxville's epic high five prank in Jackass 3D. Ryan Dunn, among others, unsuspectingly walks down the hall only to be smashed to the ground by a giant, swinging hand. Some of them are holding trays of food, making it that much worse. The best part of the stunt is when Bam Margera walks into the hand that is attached to an exploding bag of flour.
