Another one of late author Elmore Leonard's stories comes to life on the big screen later this summer with the upcoming comedy Life of Crime, which was formerly known as Switch. Today, Lionsgate has released the first trailer for this humorous crime saga, which follows two crooks (Yasiin Bey and John Hawkes) who kidnap the wife (Jennifer Aniston) of a millionaire (Tim Robbins) just as he is ready to divorce her. The project marks a prequel, of sorts, to Jackie Brown, with Yasiin Bey and John Hawkes playing younger versions of Ordell Robbie and Louis Gara, originally played by Samuel L. Jackson and Robert De Niro in Quentin Tarantino's 1997 adaptation. Isla Fisher, Mark Boone Junior and Will Forte co-star in director Daniel Schechter's adaptation of Elmore Leonard's 1978 novel The Switch, which debuts in theaters and on VOD formats August 29.

Based on Elmore Leonard's novel The Switch, Life of Crime is a dark caper comedy starring Jennifer Aniston, John Hawkes, Yasiin Bey, Will Forte, Mark Boone Junior, Isla Fisher and Tim Robbins. The wife (Jennifer Aniston) of a corrupt real estate developer (Tim Robbins) is kidnapped by two common criminals (Yasiin Bey and John Hawkes), who intend to extort him with inside information about his crooked business and off-shore accounts. But the husband decides he'd actually rather not pay the ransom to get back his wife, setting off an unbelievable sequence of double crosses and plot twists that could only come from the mind of Elmore Leonard.
