With She-Hulk: Attorney at Law now less than one month away from its premiere, Marvel released a final trailer at SDCC that finally revealed a lot more about the show including the first look at Jennifer Walters’ fourth-wall breaking. However, one thing we still haven’t seen much of is Jameela Jamil’s villain Titania, but the actress recently teased that if her super strength doesn’t scare you, then you should be afraid of how annoying she is.
There have been a number of trailers released for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, but thankfully Marvel haven’t given away too much about the show and seemingly left a lot to be revealed when the series premieres next month. While we know the series will see the return of Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/The Abomination, Benedict Wong as Wong and Charlie Cox as Daredevil, there will also be a wide range of obscure Marvel characters and many other surprises. In the middle of all this is Jamil’s Titania and when speaking to Screen Rant the actress revealed that she believes the villain stands out as one of the most annoying in the MCU. She said:
“Titania stands out because I think she's the most annoying of them, actually. I think she almost doesn't need to use her strength; she could just annoy you to death. And I think that is a superpower that we haven't really utilized enough.She's also very glamorous. I like the fact that she's a bit curvy, and I like the fact that she's completely unselfconscious. She's completely unselfconscious and so, so weird. We'll see.”
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Will Utilize Fourth-Wall Breaking For More Than Comedy
For the first time in the MCU, She-Hulk will see a character directly speaking to the audience as the titular heroine’s frequent fourth-wall breaking will be a big part of the Marvel’s latest series. However, director Kat Coiro told IGN recently that fans should expect a few surprises from Jennifer Walters’ audience interactions. She said:
"I think breaking the fourth wall asks a lot of questions that I hope we get to answer for you in the show. So I just don't want to give too much away. But it's very fun, it's very cool."
Of course another well-known Marvel character has already become adapt to address the audience in his movies; Deadpool. However, the fan-favorite has yet to make his MCU debut, but it does seem that there are going to be some similarities between the two characters, with both delivering their thoughts directly to the audience, usually without any of the other characters being aware of it. How this kind of thing will play out in the future of the franchise is something that is yet to be revealed, although it is hard to imagine any characters being able to take a moment out to discuss their innermost thoughts by the time things get serious in Phase 6. However, for now, we can expect to see how the fourth-wall breaking works out in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law from August 17 on Disney+.
