Actress Naomie Harris confirmed she has been offered a role in James Bond 23, which is being prepped for a November production start. However, the actress would not say which role she was offered, or if she has accepted the offer yet.

The story originated at a British tabloid which indicates she might portray the sidekick of Daniel Craig's James Bond. It remains to be seen if Naomie Harris is the new "Bond girl," or if she is up for a different character.

Sam Mendes is directing James Bond 23 from a screenplay by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and John Logan.

Daniel Craig will return as 007, while Judi Dench will reprise her role of M. We reported in February that Ralph Fiennes is interested in joining the James Bond 23 cast, although we haven't heard anything about his involvement with the spy project since then.
