James Bond 25 will resume shooting next week. An official image of Daniel Craig working out with a walking cast has been shared as he prepares to return to the set. Craig injured himself while making the movie last month and had to undergo minor ankle surgery as a result. In addition to the surgery, the doctor ordered Craig to take it easy along with two weeks of rehabilitation. This is the first bit of good news the production has received in quite some time.

Daniel Craig's injury wasn't the only time someone has been hurt on the Bond 25 set. A crew member was injured while shooting a controlled explosion scene, which also caused damage to a Pinewood Studios stage. Everybody is making a full recovery as Craig prepares to return for what will more than likely be the last time he plays 007 on the big screen. Before taking on the sequel, the actor was adamant about not returning, but he apparently had a change of heart.

Tom Cruise famously shut down the production of Mission: Impossible - Fallout after breaking his ankle while shooting a stunt. The actor is known for completing a lot of his own stunts, but it shut the production down for months, leaving many crew members without work. It seems the production of Bond 25 was able to carry on without Daniel Craig, but it's still a welcome relief to know he is able to return so soon after undergoing ankle surgery and completing physical rehabilitation. Hopefully the rest of the production goes on without any further incidents.

Bond 25 features production shoots in Jamaica, Norway, Italy, and London and is being directed by Cary Fukunaga. In addition to Daniel Craig, the movie includes Bohemian Rhapsody's Rami Malek, Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, Ana de Armas, Lashana Lynch, and David Dencik. Malek is playing the villain this time around and he is really excited to be a part of the 007 franchise. It will be interesting to see the young actor taking on the villain role opposite Craig and fans are expecting some great scenes. The sequel was written by Fukunaga, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Scott Z. Burns, and Neal Purvis.

Bond 25 still does not have an official title, but it does have an official release date. The long-awaited sequel is scheduled to hit theaters on April 8th, 2020. From there, the hunt will be on for who will be the next James Bond. Idris Elba's name has been floating around for years, so he may very well be the one to take on the highly coveted role. Or perhaps it will go to a female. At this point, it's too early to tell.
