Things on the set of director Cary Joji Fukunaga's James Bond 25 starring Daniel Craig as 007 have been a bit hairy as of late. From on-set injuries to hidden cameras in the bathrooms to the director allegedly letting his Red Dead Rdemption get in the way of blocking out shots, this new James Bond movie really needs some good will sent its way. And speaking of which, today we have a first look behind the scenes video from the new film for you to check out. And it looks like everyone on-set is having a blast! Which is just what they want you to think.
The video itself is pretty damn cool as it gives us a solid minute-long look at Daniel Craig in motion once again in the classic 007 role he all but perfected in Casino Royale and especially Skyfall. But not only that, this behind the scenes video shows us some of the movie's recent filming in the Caribbean, plus we get a good look at Jeffery Wright as returning Bond character Felix Leiter and series newcomer Lashana Lynch as a gal who goes by the name, Nomi. Add to that, we get a few quick glimpses of first-time franchise director Cary Joji Fukunaga helming the action on-set. That said, sadly, this video gives us nothing to go on as far as Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek's mysterious villain goes. Oh, well.
As we all know by this point in time, this new James Bond movie will see the return of Casino Royale and Skyfall star Daniel Craig as the world's greatest secret agent. Craig will be joined this time around by Rami Malek as the film's antagonist, Ana de Armas as Paloma, David Dencik as a villain named Waldo, Lashana Lynch as Nomi, and Dali Benssalah and Billy Magnussen in undisclosed roles. Ralph Fiennes will be returning to the franchise as M, the head of MI6, and he will be joined by fellow 007 alumni such as Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner, the MI6 chief of staff, Léa Seydoux as Dr. Madeleine Swann, Ben Whishaw as Q, and Jeffrey Wright as the above-mentioned Felix Leiter.
True Detective and Beasts of No Nation filmmaker Cary Joji Fukunaga is taking the helm of this new Bond adventure from a screenplay written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Scott Z. Burns, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge based on the classic character created by Ian Fleming. As always, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are producing this Bond flick which will feature cinematography by Linus Sandgren and editing by Tom Cross and Elliot Graham. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Universal Pictures, and Eon Productions are behind this motion picture which Universal Pictures will release internationally on April 3, 2020, and United Artists Releasing will release here in the United States on April 8, 2020. This behind the scenes look at Bond 25 was released by the official James Bond account over on Twitter, and the full video can be seen over on the official James Bond Youtube channel.
