James Brolin has signed on to star in The Nest, portraying the father of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's characters.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler portray two sisters, who decide to throw one last massive party in their childhood home before it is sold. Ike Barinholtz also stars in an unspecified role.

Jason Moore is directing from a script by Saturday Night Live writer Paula Pell, with Jay Roach producing alongside John C. Lyons and Tina Fey. Amy Poehler is executive producing alongside Jeff Richmond and Brian Bell. It isn't known when production will begin, although Universal Pictures has slated the comedy for release on December 18, 2015.

James Brolin recently wrapped production on The 33 alongside Antonio Banderas and Jennifer Lopez.
