We have our first look at Laurie Strode's return in Halloween Ends. Ever since 1978, Jamie Lee Curtis has been going to battle in character as Laurie with her longtime nemesis, Michael Myers. Things have turned out a bit differently throughout all of the different timelines, but their upcoming confrontation in Halloween Ends is special in that this will most likely be the final time we see Curtis in the role, as there are no plans to continue the story after the upcoming film (hence the title).Fans will need to wait for the film's release to see how the feud ultimately culminates, but for now, they can get a sneak peek at Laurie. On Tuesday, Curtis posted an image of herself to Twitter revealing that she's now on location to film the third and final installment of Blumhouse's Halloween trilogy. She certainly looks like Laurie with her wardrobe and hair in place, but the smile on JLC's face suggests that she's not fully immersed into the character just yet. Let's consider the state of mind Laurie must be in after the ending of Halloween Kills. Check out the new image below.

David Gordon Green returns to direct Halloween Ends after helming the previous movies. Of course, Jamie Lee Curtis will be back as Laurie Strode. It's been reported that the next movie will begin with a four-year time jump so it's not entirely clear who all else will return for the final saga, though it's already been revealed that Kyle Richards will return as Lindsay Wallace as well.

Producer Jason Blum has spoken about how Blumhouse is only contracted for three Halloween movies, so the idea is to have Halloween Ends close out with a definitive ending. However, that doesn't mean we haven't seen the last of Halloween movies at Blumhouse. Blum told ComicBook.com that he'd be "thrilled" to make even more movies, but there are no plans for it to happen at this time.

"We made an arrangement for three movies," Blum said. "We had a three-picture marriage with Michael Myers. I would love to extend it. If Malek [Akkad] would like us, I'd love to extend it, but we're very busy making sure the third movie is spectacular because that's our immediate job and if it goes beyond that, I'd be thrilled. But there are currently no plans for us to be involved after this third movie."

Halloween Ends will be released in theaters on Oct. 14, 2022.
