Jane Curtin has joined ABC's comedy pilot Nice Girls Don't Get the Corner Office. The show centers on the struggles of a nice girl (Jayma Mays) to make it in the corporate world; The Hollywood Reporter says Curtin will play the woman's new assistant, a feared and respected secretary.

Lex Medlin has been tapped to co-star opposite Ricki Lake in ABC's comedy pilot The Middle, which chronicles the daily life of an extended lower middle-class family in the Midwest through the eyes of the harried but happy mom (Lake).

Lauren Bittner has landed the lead in the CW's untitled Maggie Friedman drama pilot; it centers on a young life coach (Bittner) who also is a witch.

Will Lyman has joined the CW's drama pilot I Am Paige Armstrong. The show centers on a naive but bright twentysomething congressional aide (Jaime Ray Newman) who becomes so infuriated by her boss' political maneuvering that she decides to run against him; Lyman will play an arch-conservative ideologue who is one of the most influential men on the Hill.

Angus Macfadyen has come aboard CBS' comedy pilot The Rich Inner Life of Penelope Cloud; it centers on a brilliant and opinionated writer (Marisa Tomei). Macfadyen will play her editor and former flame.

Kyle Bornheimer, Jonathan Chase and Rick Hall have boarded the CW's comedy pilot Dash 4 Cash, which is set behind the scenes of a racing reality competition series; Bornheimer will play a twentysomething odd duck who joined the race after tracking down his sperm donor father and demanding a place in the family. Chase will play another contestant in the race who has issues with his father (Hall).

Variety reports Dana Ivey will play Molly in comedy The Return of Jezebel James from Regency TV.

Natalie Denise Sperl has landed the lead in Sci Fi Channel telepic Rock Monster; it's now shooting in Sofia, Bulgaria.
