The news that production has already started is somewhat surprising, since the sequel just landed director Sean Anders eight days ago, replacing original Horrible Bosses director Seth Gordon.

Horrible Bosses writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein wrote the screenplay, although no plot details were released at this time. The original comedy, which took in over $200 million worldwide from a $35 million budget, followed three friends (Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis) who hatch a plan with a mysterious hitman (Jamie Foxx) to kill their wretched bosses.

New Line Cinema hasn't issued a release date for the sequel at this time, so stay tuned for more information.
