Jason Bateman came up with the idea for The Remarkable Fellows, a film about two brothers who take over their family owned revenge business. According to Variety, Universal has now bought the rights to the project.
Joe Carnahan, who recently directed Bateman in Smokin' Aces, will write and direct the buddy comedy.
Bateman plans on staring as one of the brothers. The duo has been described as "part James Bond and part Ricky Jay." They will be getting their assignments from their father, exacting their revenge schemes all over the world. There's no word on who will play the other brother.
There is no set date on when the film will begin shooting.
