Game of Thrones alums Jason Momoa and Emilia Clarke set the internet on fire recently when they shared pictures of their reunion over the weekend. Momoa and Clarke, who played lovers Khal Drogo and Daenerys Targaryen aka. Khaleesi, respectively in HBO's Game of Thrones, shared some intense moments together on the show and ended up becoming the best of pals. Momoa and Clarke got together recently at Game of Thrones co-creator and showrunner David Benioff's birthday bash. The two took to Instagram to share some heartwarming photos with their fans. You can check out their pictures below.

Jason Momoa shared the picture of him and Clarke with the caption," MOON OF MY LIFE. you are wonderful love u forever @emilia_clarke #smilelyeyes happy birthday benioff you handsome generous badass leo aloha j". He also shared a photo of him standing alongside David Benioff.

Emilia Clarke playfully captioned the photo she shared, "When your sun and stars rolls into town you check that he can still bench press a Khaleesi." She is not wrong though, Momoa has one of the best physiques in Hollywood, and it was on full display in the pictures, with Momoa carrying Clarke in his arms in most of the pics. Momoa was also seen swooning over Clarke in the comments, "love u forever moon of my life ."

While their onscreen stint in Game of Thrones was short-lived, the two stars ended up becoming the best of friends anyway. It is a sight to behold anytime they are together in the public eye. Whether it's at red carpet events or parties, Momoa and Clarke always seem to be enjoying themselves and having fun. The fans too were delighted to see them together again, with many of them expressing their joy in the comments.

"Every time the two of you are together you always have the biggest smiles!!! I love this friendship, makes me smile too!" wrote one delighted fan. "Look at you! How beautiful are you guys? You were my favorite in the series", wrote another. One guy went ahead and declared, "This is why you should be mera in aquaman 2"

Fans had been campaigning for Amber Heard to be recast with Emilia Clarke as Mera in the Aquaman sequel, in the wake of disturbing allegations against her made by Johnny Depp. Momoa and Clarke have amazing chemistry, and an actress like Clarke would make for a good Mera, but unfortunately, that's not happening any time soon. Producer Peter Saffran has defended heard against the serious allegations of domestic abuse and said the protests were never going to make a difference. Everyone on Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is happy to have her on board. Even Momoa doesn't have an issue acting alongside her.

Momoa is currently busy filming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which he also co-wrote. James wan is directing the film, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdo m is set to release on December 16, 2022. He will next be seen in Dennis Villeneuve's Dune, coming out on October 22. Emilia Clarke has also ventured into the superhero territory with Marvel's Secret Invasion. Clarke will star alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn in the Disney+ series. Secret Invasion will soon begin filming and will also release sometime in 2022.

We can't wait to see the two talented actors again.
