Jeff the Immortal, a film about a slacker with supernatural powers, has been picked up by Universal Pictures. According to Variety, the comedy was written by Chris Bishop and will be produced by Marc Platt Productions.

Bishop stated that he was inspired by 1986's Highlander. He wondered what it would be like if his loser buddies had similar powers, "It's about a slacker who discovers he has supernatural powers but uses these new-found powers for selfish reasons."

The film does not have a set start date at this time.
