If there's a role for Jenna Ortega in the DCU, one artist is hoping that it will be Raven. As of now, James Gunn and Peter Safran are building out the next decade's worth of movies for their DCU, this coming after the two were appointed as the heads of DC Studios. Thinking about potential casting ideas, the digital artist horrific.heroics on Instagram shared some new artwork imagining Ortega as Raven. Given the tease of the artwork, there would probably be many fans who'd agree that this is good casting. You can view the full picture by checking out the fan art below.

Going under the alias Rachel Roth when blending into society, Raven is a half-demon who can sense emotions and control her "soul-self" in combat. On the screen, a teenage version of Raven has been popularized by animated shows like Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go!, voiced by Tara Strong. A live-action version of Raven was played by Teagan Croft in the superhero series Titans, marking the only official live-action portrayal of the character to be portrayed on-screen so far. Taissa Farmiga has also voiced an animated version of Raven in animated DC movies like Justice League vs. Teen Titans and Justice League Dark: Apokalips War.

Ortega is also riding high off of the immense success of Wednesday. The show is among the most popular to ever stream on Netflix and has a second season in the works. Ortega herself has also garnered widespread praise for her performance as Wednesday Addams in the series, earning nominations at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards. She also won for her role in the show at the MTV Movie & TV Awards, as well as at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.

It may just be a matter of time before Ortega comes into the DCU. After the success of Wednesday, coupled with acclaimed performances from Ortega in other recent films like Scream and X, the 20-year-old is now in very high demand in Hollywood. That's led to a recent casting in Beetlejuice 2, a highly anticipated sequel that brings back Michael Keaton to reprise his role as the titular "ghost with the most." With James Gunn and Peter Safran currently building out years' worth of new movies for their DCU, there will be plenty of potential roles that Ortega could play.

Meanwhile, if you're wondering, Ortega is technically a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe already. The former child star's first film role was for the sequel Iron Man 3 in 2013, which saw her playing the daughter of the Vice President. Because it was such a minor role, and because other actors have played different roles in the MCU, there are still many Marvel fans hoping to see Ortega come back into that world with a much bigger presence as well. As with the DCU, it may just be a matter of time.
