Jennifer Hudson will make her first public appearance since her family tragedy in the biggest of fashions. According to Variety, Jennifer Hudson will be singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl in Tampa, Florida on February 1.

Hudson has not made a public appearance since the triple-murder of her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew in Chicago this past October. Her estranged brother-in-law is being held and charged for the killings.

Hudson is also scheduled to perform at the Grammy's MusiCares event in Los Angeles a few days after the Super Bowl. Her debut self-titled album was released shortly before the slayings and she is up for four Grammy's at the February 8 awards ceremony.

Bruce Springsteen is set to perform at halftime of the Super Bowl.
