Last week, Forbes Magazine released their annual list of "overpaid" actors, with Adam Sandler topping the list for the second year in a row. Today, Forbes has released yet another annual list, revealing the top-grossing actors for the year 2014, which was topped by Jennifer Lawrence. The list is compiled by adding up the global box office numbers from each of the stars' 2014 movies, with Jennifer Lawrence's The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and X-Men: Days of Future Past earning $1.4 billion globally.

Top 10 Highest Grossing Actors of 2014

The actress is followed close behind by Chris Pratt, whose hits Guardians of the Galaxy and The Lego Movie earned $1.2 billion worldwide. Both Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt could find themselves topping the list once again in 2015, since Jennifer Lawrence has the franchise finale The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 coming out next year, and Chris Pratt stars in the highly-anticipated sequel Jurassic World. Of course, it's possible that those movies could under-perform at the box office, but given the buzz swirling around both projects, that seems quite unlikely.

The #3 spot goes to Scarlett Johansson, whose movies Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Lucy and Under the Skin took in $1.18 billion globally. Mark Wahlberg only starred in one movie this year, Transformers: Age of Extinction, but its $1 billion haul (the only movie to break $1 billion globally all year), was enough to put him in the fourth spot. Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Snowpiercer star Chris Evans rounds out the top five with $801 million.

The top 10 is rounded out by Emma Stone (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Magic in the Moonlight, Birdman, $764 million), Angelina Jolie (Maleficent, $758 million), James McAvoy (X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, $747 million), Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Days of Future Past, $746 million) and Hugh Jackman (X-Men: Days of Future Past, $746 million).
