A young actress who is getting a lot of buzz for one of this year's biggest indie hits is suiting up to become a young mutant. Heat Vision Blog is reporting that Winter's Bone star Jennifer Lawrence has signed on for a role in X-Men: First Class.

The site reports that Lawrence will play a younger version of Mystique in the film. That role had previously been played by Rebecca Romijn in X-Men, X2: X-Men United and X-Men: The Last Stand.
