Jeremy London has signed on to star in the Sci Fi Channel original movie Ba'al. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lexa Doig will also be appearing in the project.

The film revolves around a rogue Smithsonian archeologist that happens to be dying of cancer. He is on a hunt for the ancient amulets of the storm god Ba'al, which are rumored to be able to cure his illness. Paul Ziller is directing this thriller.

In other Sci Fi Channel casting news, Dina Meyer has been cast in the original telefilm Riddles of the Sphinx. The story follows a father and daughter that find themselves battling the ancient Sphinx in order to save mankind.

Both films are currently shooting in Vancouver and will air as part of the Sci Fi Channel's Saturday Night Lineup starting early next year.
