Jessica Alba has joined the cast of Mike Myers latest project The Love Guru. According to Variety, the film will open on June 20th, 2008.

The script, written by Myers and Graham Gordy, follows the adventures of Pitka, an American who was left at the gates of an Indian ashram as a child. There, he is raised by Gurus. When he returns to the states, he must settle a rift between a hockey player and his wife, who is making time with the star player of another team.

Romany Malco and Verne Troyer have also joined the cast. Alba will be playing the hockey team owner, while Troyer is set to play the coach. Malco's role has yet to be announced.

Marco Schnabel is directing the film. It is set to go into production later this month.
