In the comics, Susan Storm Richards a.k.a. The Invisible Woman of the Fantastic Four, is known for being as much a "mom" as she is a superhero. Being herself pregnant, it only makes sense that Jessica Alba, who portrays the Invisible Woman in Fox's Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer, is interested in seeing that aspect of the character brought to the screen. IESB talked to her, and asked her how she felt about seeing the character of Franklin Richards brought into the films.

Alba responded, "Little Franklin? Yeah, I think that would be hilarious. He's so powerful, I think that would be a really interesting dynamic a mother-child dynamic. She's still a superhero but she's super-protective and he's wild, he can do anything and has no sense of what's appropriate, that would be really fun."

Unfortunately, Alba has no idea when we might get to see Fantastic Four 3. "That film takes a lot of prep, a good six months of prep and about six months to shoot," Alba said. "With the strike, I think, maybe it's put on hold."

Of course, the Invisible Woman isn't the first superhero that Alba has brought to life. She first gained notice playing the lead in James Cameron's Dark Angel series. Asked if there was any thought about adapting Dark Angel into a film, Alba answered "We've talked about it, I want to work with Jim so I would pretty much do anything he wants to do."
