Vincent Bugliosi's book about the assassination of JFK is huge. There are more than sixteen hundred pages. That hasn't stopped someone from trying to adapt it for the screen. According to Variety, HBO plans on turning Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy into a miniseries.

It will be a ten part program, which debunks all of Oliver Stone's crazy conspiracy theories and proves once and for all that Lee Harvey Oswald did the deed of killing JFK alone. We will see the life history of Oswald, from the time that he shot the president, until he, himself, was shot by Jack Ruby.

HBO also plans on producing a companion piece, which will see Bugliosi going over the conspiracies in extreme detail. His book was only published last month.

Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton, and Gary Goetzman are producing the piece. Goetzman stated, "I totally believed there was a conspiracy, but after you read the book, you are almost embarrassed that you ever believed it. To think that guys who grew up in the '60s would make a miniseries supporting the idea that Oswald acted alone is something I certainly wouldn't have predicted. But time and evidence can change the way we view things."

There was no word on when the miniseries would air.
