It may only be July, but the Christmas spirit has already arrived in Walmart stores, where you can get your hands on the Turbo Man action figure now and avoid being crushed by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the December rush. Yes, the toy that provided so much trouble for big Arnie and his rival Sinbad in his festive movie Jingle All The Way is now available to buy for those wanting to bring that little bit of 90s nostalgia into their lives.

The toy was spotted by a user on TikTok who quickly racked up views by posting a video about the appearance of the toy from the 1996 movie. At a tall 13.5 inches in height with full articulation, the Turbo-Man toy from Funko comes in a box promising action accessories, electronic lights and sounds and many buttons to press for fun times. It almost makes you want to be back in the middle of that store, fighting off Arnie's big arms to get hold of the last one on the shelf. Fortunately, you won't have to go to quite those lengths as the toy is on general sale in Walmart stores for $35 and there are plenty to go around.

For those who grew up watching Jingle All the Way, which was not the greatest movie in the world but is a must watch over the Christmas season, seeing a Turbo-Man doll arriving on shelves is not only a big nostalgic hit, but also a terrible reminder that we are not kids anymore, yet something about this just makes us want to be one again. Oh the things we would do if we had that time over again.

One person who would certainly get a buzz from seeing the classic toy on shelves would be Arnie himself, who is always quite happy to revisit his past movies, such as having jumped back into the movie costume when celebrating the 25th anniversary of the movie. It may surprise some to know that the popularity of the movie years after its release saw a sequel arrive in 2014, but starring Larry the Cable Guy in a movie that was just plain terrible without Arnie's ludicrously over the top performance to save it.

The Turbo-Man toy is just one of the many "adult collector" items out there that tap into the nostalgia of the 1980s and 1990s. With the likes of NECA and Super 7 bringing wave after wave of Thundercats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and He-Man action figures, with prices reaching as high as $1,000 for some of the play sets and vehicles. There is something about seeing the toys and characters that as a 7 to 10 year old we grew up with returning looking like the toys we wished we had back then, that just makes the last 30 years slip away. After the last 18 months, there are many reasons to want to recapture the good times of the past, and the release of retro toys such as the Turbo-Man figure is probably one the best ways to do just that.
