Star Trek director J.J. Abrams certainly has many projects on his plate and it seems he's adding another with a critically-acclaimed Korean director. /Film is reporting that Abrams is pairing up with Mother director Joon-ho Bong for a new film project. Here's an excerpt from the site's report.

"Our source claims that Abrams visited Korea last year and had extensive meetings with Bong, and will soon be collaborating with him on an undisclosed film. Bong will direct, and Abrams will produce. Once Bong finishes work on his next film Snow Piercer (based on a French graphic novel), the film will most likely shoot in Hollywood, making it the first film he's made in the US."

The site did say to chalk this up as an "unconfirmed rumor" at this point. There are no further details of what this film could be about, but we'll continue to keep you posted as soon as more information comes in.
