J.J. Abrams is set to movie the earth beneath our feet for his next project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Abrams is teaming up with David Seltzer, the screenwriter of the original The Omen, for an untitled disaster film about earthquakes.

What it won't be, however, is a remake of the 1974 disaster flick dubbed simply, Earthquake, and that the film will revolve around relationships affected by the disaster. The rest of the plot is being kept under tight wraps, which is par for the course with Abrams.

At this time, it is believed that Abrams will only produce this film, with no director attached or production schedule announced.
