Deadline TV is reporting that J.J. Abrams is reuniting with Lost executive producer Elizabeth Sarnoff for a new TV series entitled Alcatraz.

Warner Bros. TV is behind the show, which is currently being shopped to all the major networks by J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot production company. Little is known about the series except that it will center on the famed Alcatraz island prison in San Francisco Bay, which served as one of the most notorious jail houses in the world before it was shut down in 1963.

Elizabeth Sarnoff joined Lost in the second season of the show and became an executive producer in the show's final season. She wrote 19 episodes during her run on the popular series, including the second-to-last episode. Both of Bad Robot's current TV shows - Fringe and Undercovers - started as spec scripts, like Elizabeth Sarnoff's Alcatraz.

We'll be sure to keep you posted with any further details on Alcatraz as soon as we have more information.
