One of Spidey's main foes from Spider-Man 3 is eager to face off against the wall-crawler once more in Spider-Man 4 - J.K. Simmons, who plays the loud-mouthed editor-in-chief of The Daily Bugle, J.J. Jonah Jameson. Simmons told the Portugese blog JUDAO.com that he hopes to return to the role soon.

When asked about Spider-Man 4, Simmons said "There's talking and talking, on the character, on the possible movie. I've received several calls. But nothing firm on that. [...] I do expect to be on the fourth movie, though. I hope so. I'm really able to do it and will be great playing that character again."

Spider-Man 4 currently lacks a director or a script, and it is unknown whether director Sam Raimi, or franchise stars Toby Maguire and Kirsten Dunst intend to return for the fourth film.
