As noted by The Hollywood Reporter, the trailer for season 4 of Netflix's hit series You shows Penn Badgley's Joe Goldberg taking on a new persona in a new country. The full trailer, which is set to Hidden Citizens' "I Ran (So Far Away)," offers fans of the show a two-and-a-half-minute look at what's to come in the fourth season of the popular thriller series. In the freshly released trailer, Joe Goldberg (now under the alias Professor Jonathan Moore) is exploring his new life in London, attempting to reconnect with an uninterested Marienne Bellamy, and (in a surprising twist) has found himself with a stalker of his own.

Previously, in season 3, audiences watched Joe and Love Quinn (played by Victoria Pedretti) attempt to mend their rocky (and occasionally murderous) relationship in the fictional California suburb of Madre Linda. Despite getting married and having a newborn son to raise, things unsurprisingly don't go smoothly for the couple. In the season's finale, Joe brutally murders his wife, hands off his son to be raised by his coworker, and fakes his death before escaping to another country.

From the beginning, the series has shown that Joe has an unhealthy pattern when it comes to romance which includes him stalking and seducing his victims as well as locking up anyone that he thinks may come between him and the person whose affection he craves. Initially, the new trailer for the upcoming season of You shows Joe tracking down Marienne (played by Tati Gabrielle), who no longer has any interest in reconnecting with him. "You're a murderer, Joe," she says to him. He replies by saying, "You're wrong about me. I'm gonna prove it to you."

From there, viewers see Joe head off to London, where he settles into the role of Professor Jonathan Moore. He also becomes involved with a group that he calls "the most insane, damaged people on Earth: a circle of privileged douchebags." Though Joe is obviously attempting to start fresh and leave his past as a murderous stalker behind him, it quickly becomes clear that's unlikely to happen.

"I do miss having someone out there," Joe muses as he glances off at a brunette from his apartment window. "Hello," he continues in his typical stalker fashion before quickly stopping himself. "No. No. I am not interested. Nope. Not interested. I don't want to know. Why does the universe keep doing this to me?"

Then approximately halfway into the trailer, the roles seemingly reverse, and instead of being the hunter, Joe becomes the hunted. It's also revealed that a murderer known as the "eat the rich killer" is on the loose, and Joe begins receiving mysterious texts from his very own stalker.

"Nice jacket. Brown's your color," the first message reads. "Hello, Joe. Now, do I have your attention? the next set of texts states.

Joe then spends the rest of the trailer playing "shitty Sherlock" while trying to figure out the identity of the "eat the rich killer." As the clip comes to an end, Joe reflects on his unexpected circumstances and declares, "I just want my little European holiday back."

Season four of You will be divided into two parts. Part one, which contains episodes one through five, will drop on Netflix on February 9th. Then part two, which features episodes six through ten, will be released on March 9th.
