Joe Keery, Lamorne Morris and Richa Moorjani are joining the season five cast of FX's Fargo, Variety reports. Keery, Morris and Moorjani join previously announced lead cast members Juno Temple (Ted Lasso), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), and Jennifer Jason Leigh (Atypical). The fifth season of Noah Crowley's anthology series will be its most contemporary season, taking place in 2019. While plot details remain unknown the official logline asks: "when is a kidnapping not a kidnapping, and what if your wife isn’t yours?”

Keery will play Gator Tillman; Morris will play Witt Farr; and Moorjani will play Indira Olmstead. Additional character details remain unknown at this time. Keery is best known for his portrayal of Steve Harrington on Stranger Things. The actor will next appear in Marmalade, opposite Camila Morrone and Aldis Hodge. For seven seasons, Morris played Winston on Fox's New Girl, later appeared on Hulu's Woke, and has recently wrapped production on the horror thriller film Night Shift. Moorjani currently stars in Never Have I Ever, Mindy Kaling's Netflix series, as Kamala.

Since its first season, which aired in 2014, Fargo has been successful with critics and audiences. The show's previous renowned cast members have included Kirsten Dunst, Billy Bob Thornton, Ewan McGregor and Ted Danson. Season four starred Chris Rock and followed the story of turmoil between a Black crime syndicate and the Italian mafia in Kansas City in the 1950s. During its run, the series has earned 55 Emmy nominations, winning six.

Before the announcement that Fargo had been picked up for season five, Crowley was asked by Vanity Fair if audiences could expect another season. Indicating this may be the series' final story, he told the publication:

"Yeah, I think so. I don’t have it yet. I have pieces that will have to survive. They’re not connected. I think it would be good to create an ending, and deliberately come to something, knowing it’s the last one and see how one might wrap up this anthology.”

Hawley has served as director, writer and executive producer for all seasons of Fargo. He is currently working on an Alien prequel series for FX. Season five executive producers will include The Littlefield Company's Warren Littlefield, Joel Coen, Ethan Coen, Kim Todd, Vincent Landay and Toluca Pictures' Steve Stark. Fargo is loosely based on the Coen Brothers 1996 film of the same name.

Seasons one through four of Fargo are currently streaming on Hulu.
