Joe Roth (Alice in Wonderland) has signed on to produce the graphic novel adaptation Anomaly, created by top Hollywood lawyer Skip Brittenham and comic book artist Brian Haberlin.

The story takes place in the year 2717, where humans have colonized the whole galaxy and a giant conglomerate mines alien planets for natural resources. The plot centers on a group of explorers who are drawn into a massive conflict on a new planet. The authors consulted professors of religion, science, and philosophy to make this world as accurate as possible.

The 370-page graphic novel, which will be published in October, is also spawning other multi-platform projects. A tablet application will be released, featuring narration from sci-fi and video game actors, along with an augmented reality app featuring 3D holographic technology.

Some of Skip Brittenham's clients include Harrison Ford, Eddie Murphy, and Harvey Weinstein.
