Production Weekly reports that Joel and Ethan Coen are set to direct the big screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's blood-soaked novel, No Country for Old Men, a noir thriller set in West Texas.

In the brothers' script Llewelyn Moss, hunting antelope near the Rio Grande, instead finds men shot dead, a load of heroin, and more than $2 million dollars cash.

Scott Rudin produces at Paramount Pictures. Production is scheduled to begin in May with locations in Texas and Mexico.
