The Killing star Joel Kinnaman has joined the Warner Bros. medieval tale Arthur & Lancelot, portraying Lancelot. We first reported on this project back in June, when Warner Bros. acquired David Dobkin's spec screenplay.

Little is known about the story of Arthur & Lancelot, although it is said to be a reimagined version of the King Arthur and Sir Lancelot stories. Casting is still ongoing for the King Arthur role, with actors such as Kit Harington, Sam Claflin, Dominic Cooper, Hans Matheson, Jim Sturgess, Benjamin Walker, and Liam Hemsworth in contention.

David Dobkin is directing Arthur & Lancelot from his own screenplay, with Lionel Wigram producing and Jeff Kleeman executive producing.

It isn't known when production will start on Arthur & Lancelot, although our previous report indicated it will be budgeted at $90 million.
