Community star Joel McHale has joined the cast of an upcoming untitled comedy which is set to reunite stars Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore for a third time.

The story centers on a man (Adam Sandler) and a woman (Drew Barrymore) who have a disastrous blind date, then realize they are stuck in a family resort with the children from their previous marriages. Joel McHale will play the ex-husband of Drew Barrymore's character.

Frank Coraci (Here Comes the Boom, Click) is directing from a screenplay by Ivan Menchell and Clare Sera. Adam Sandler will produce through his Happy Madison company, alongside Mike Karz. Gulfstream Pictures' Josie Rosen will serve as executive producer. No production schedule was given.

Joel McHale can currently be seen on the small screen in both Community and The Soup.
