Joel Silver and his Dark Castle Entertainment production house have signed a deal with Warner Brothers to start producing Direct-to-DVD movies. According to Variety, the film company will be making two or three home videos a year.

The first of these will be a sequel entitled Return to House on Haunted Hill. Dark Castle will also be producing content for the Internet and certain mobile services which will revolve around the film.

The DVDs will introduce a new "navigational cinema" technology that will allow viewers to fully immerse themselves in the film. The Haunted Hill sequel will be presented in Hi-Definition, and will include seven viewer choices leading to over 90 iterations of the storyline.

Silver stated, "We are continually looking for fresh and edgy ideas for our films and for our fans to experience."

There is no word on when we can expect the DVDs.
