John Boyega and Daisy Ridley have finally arrived on the Abu Dhabi set of Star Wars: Episode VII, though they had to take a long camel ride through the desert to get there. John Boyega posted an instagram video of his hot and sweaty trip, riding the whole way behind his co-star, after which they both had to plunge themselves into buckets of ice. Earlier in the week, musicians The Healer Twins (aka Thea and Liana Shengelaya) shot an unspecificed scene for the sequel, which they confirmed via instagram.

Its interesting to note that The Healer Twins met with director J.J. Abrams and his assistant in a very 'shook hands and went about their business' type way. It's likely that the twins were only serving as extras, and not as some form of Tatooine musical entertainment, as speculated.

In related news, /film has confirmed that Jim Henson's Creature Shop is not participating in Star Wars: Episode VII. This news comes despite the appearance of a puppet in a recent Star Wars For Change video released by Unicef from the Abu Dhabi set, which looked like the work of that much beloved studio. The Jim Henson Company did confirm, however, that a lot of their puppeteers are freelance, and that they could have been contracted to help bring the creatures of Tatooine to life.

Star Wars for Change

What is that thing standing next to J.J. Abrams anyway? Its being speculated that the creature is actually a Cosian, a species of sentient bipeds who had beaked mouths, four-fingered hands, hair, and a long, muscular tail ending with a tuft of hair. But neither LucasFilm nor Disney has confirmed what we are looking at. Maybe it's just a fun background creature from Tatooine thrown in to make the video a little bit more fun. It certainly hints that Star Wars: Episode VII will look more like the original trilogy than the CGI-laden prequel trilogy.
