The Blind Side director John Lee Hancock has found another true-story for his next project in Electric Boy Genius for Disney, according to Deadline.

The movie will center on the true story of Ryan Patterson, an electrical engineering genius who was wiring his house before he was even in kindergarten. By high school he was making complex robots, and he even invented an electronic sign language translator.

The project is based off a 2002 GQ article written by Andrew Corsello, which recounts Patterson's winning entry in the 2001 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. That landed him a job at Lockheed Martin working on aerospace robotics.

Doug Wright is writing the script for John Lee Hancock to direct from. Gordon Gray and Mark Ciardi are producing the movie. No production schedule was released.
