After gaining buzz at the Cannes Film Festival, John McTiernan has signed on to direct the indie thriller, Deadly Exchange for Film Bridge International.

The film revolves around a terrorist who goes undetected as he hunts down the FBI agent who assassinated his father 10 years earlier, says Variety; it's written by Ron Shusett and Ian Rabin.

It's the first deal McTiernan has made since becoming involved in the Anthony Pellicano scandal. There's no production schedule for Deadly Exchange.
