John Turturro, Oliver Platt, and Daniel Sunjata are set to star in the ESPN miniseries, The Bronx Is Burning.

The show follows the exploits of the 1977 New York Yankees, which won its first world championship in two decades amid a summer and fall that featured a major blackout, race riots and the notorious Son of Sam killings. The Hollywood Reporter says Turturro will play then-manager Billy Martin, who famously clashed during the season with Yankees owner George Steinbrenner (Platt) and star player Reggie Jackson (Sunjata).

The Bronx Is Burning is set for a July 2007 air date.
