Two first look images from John Wick 3: Parabellum were released yesterday and one of them shows off two new dogs. Keanu Reeves' Wick and Halle Berry's mysterious Sophia character are spotted in the desert with her two Belgian Malinois dogs, and fans of the franchise are starting to get scared that the sequel might kill two more dogs this time around. For those unfamiliar with John Wick, the first movie contains a scene where gangsters kill the retired hitman's puppy that his late wife gave to him.
Despite the brutal canine violence in the first movie, fans have stuck by the franchise and are really looking forward to John Wick 3. The first installment ends with Wick walking into a shelter to get a new pal, but the scar still remains, making some fans paranoid that Sophia's dogs are next to die in the ultraviolent trilogy where nobody is safe from death. One fan now thinks that something bad may have happened to Wick's newer dog, which is why Halle Berry's Sophia has two dogs.
Sophia's two canine companions are trained to protect and it has been reported that they are in a pretty big action sequence, which should help ease the minds of fans who are convinced that there will be more doggy death in John Wick 3. One fan hopes that a fourth John Wick movie is made so that the character can be reincarnated into a dog who continues his life of vengeance, which is actually a pretty excellent idea for a movie. That idea actually goes pretty well with what some other fans have been theorizing for the ending, which would see the dogs live and Wick die.
John Wick fans on social media came up with some pretty clever ideas revolving around Sophia's two dogs, but it's too early to tell what's going to happen. We do know that Keanu Reeves isn't going to die in the opening scene while the dogs star in the rest of the movie avenging his death, even though that's another pretty great idea that involves Wick dying at some point. For now, we'll just have to take comfort in knowing that the two dogs in John Wick 3 are currently doing okay.
Will John Wick 3 kill more dogs? Let's hope not, but anything is possible since this is the final chapter in the trilogy. After looking at some social media posts, many fans would totally be fine with Keanu Reeves' Wick character getting murdered, but not anymore dogs. If the producers are looking for some possible ideas for spin-offs, the fans might be the way to go in terms of getting a pretty good story. Some people don't remember the name of John Wick's dog, from the first movie.
Her name was Daisy, and she deserved much better.
