The Matrix Resurrections brings Carrie-Anne Moss and Keanu Reeves back together once again for what could be their final pairing, but we just might see the two pairing up again in another movie universe. As of now, the fourth Matrix movie is playing in theaters, and Moss has been doing a lot of promotion for the film with Reeves. In a new interview with People, the duo touches on the possibility of meeting up again in the John Wick series, which has its own fourth installment coming to theaters in 2022.

"I love John Wick," Moss told the magazine. "I really started to understand Keanu's outrageous gift for telling story through his body. And I didn't fully understand that until I went deep into John Wick with one of my children. It was very bonding for us too. It was amazing to have that experience with my son and to watch the depth that Keanu is able to [create] with his body. It's really an art form."

Reeves responded, "That's kind. Thank you. I'm going to stay with Trinity, I think. But in all your performances, your eyes, I always see what's behind the eyes, what communicates. And there's always such a present-ness and even in vulnerability, a strength."

Laurence Fishburne, who starred in the previous Matrix movies with Moss and Reeves, will be appearing in John Wick 4. Asked if there was a chance Moss could be brought into the franchise as well, Reeves noted "that would be awesome" and asked Moss, "You want to play an assassin?"

"I'd love it," Moss replied, adding that she's going to "start practicing" for her potential role. Keanu Reeves then suggested he would really look into making this happen by adding, "Okay. Let's get on that... Be careful what you wish for. I'm on it now."

When it comes to The Matrix Resurrections, Reeves suggested that they all went into this new sequel with the assumption there wouldn't be another movie. Because of that, the actors made sure to enjoy their time together while filming the movie. As Reeves says, "This one felt more emotional, just feeling like we're not going to do it again, so I was trying to soak it all in."

Lana Wachowski directs The Matrix Resurrections. Along with Moss and Reeves, the sequel also brings back Jada Pinkett Smith. Also starring are Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. There are no plans officially in motion at this time for there to be a fifth movie, but as this fourth film seemed impossible just a few years ago, there's no telling if we'll see Neo and Trinity again someday.

The Matrix Resurrections is now playing in theaters where it's pulling in some mixed opinions from viewers. As for John Wick: Chapter 4, that sequel is set to hit the big screen on March 24, 2023. It had just recently been given another major delay, pushed back almost another full year from its 2022 release date. At one point, it was even set to premiere alongside The Matrix Resurrections in May 2021.
