Last week was a big one for John Wick 3: Parabellum. The first trailer arrived with a number of new posters, hinting at what this Keanu Reeves sequel has in store. Not only will Reeves' pooch from Chapter 2 be making a return, but there will also be a couple of new hounds thrown in the mix, and they look pretty vicious. Now, we get a video of other dogs watching these canines in action. And it's pretty special.
Dogs have always played an important role in the John Wick movies. In the original, Wick is set off on his path of revenge after his dog is murdered, which was given to him by his beloved deceased wife. And at the end, he got a new dog, a pittbull that later returned in John Wick Chapter 2. Now, that same dog is back, and he will be joined by two other canine pals that belong to Wick's only ally, Sophia, played by Halle Berry.
Sophia has two Belgian Malinois dogs, which serve as weapons on their own. They are deadly canines that you don't want to cross. Both dogs are introduced in the recent trailer. And the end of the first look footage shows the two dogs taking down a couple of bad guys in true John Wick fashion. It's all pretty glorious. Though there is a lot of worry from fans that none of the three main dog characters will make it out alive.
This Dogs React video shows a number of adorable mutts watching the John Wick 3 trailer, and most of them seem pretty into it. They are all at least a little curious about what is going on, especially with all the loud noise and fast moving action. One little pupper even spends the whole video barking at John Wick's deadly antics.
All of the dogs seem to be paying attention to what is playing out on screen. And they are perhaps most interested when the three leading dogs eventually make their debut. They are perhaps at least willing to watch the movie. Unprovoked, my dog watched huge chucks of John Wick 2, but seemed most attracted to some of the sound effects playing out.
In Parabellum, Legendary hit man John Wick must fight his way out of New York when a $14 million contract on his life makes him the target of the world's top assassins. The first trailer just brings one incredible set piece after the next, and this promises to be the most violent, action-packed installment yet. The body count will surely be in the triple digits when it is all said and done. Let's just hope that all three dogs make it out alive when the smoke clears.
Some believed that Keanu Reeves' character may not even make it to the end, but both he and the director have since stated that they want to make as many sequels as audiences appear to want. So maybe all our heroes will be sparred this time around. This video comes from IGN. And you can watch Flex (the infamous dog who hates The Last Jedi) watching John Wick 2, which he seems to really enjoy.
