The upcoming John Wick spinoff movie, Ballerina, will feature a major battle between Ana de Armas’ revenge-seeking ballet dancer and Keanu Reeves’ dog-loving hitman, de Armas has revealed. Teasing the sequence during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the actress, who will lead the spinoff project, called the action sequence “difficult” and revealed that the pair would exchange punches during the events of Ballerina.

"We've been in Prague filming for four months. We still have one more month to go. And I'm in pain. You know, my body, my back, everything hurts. I'm complaining, I'm sore, I'm bruised. Bond was fifteen minutes. This is a whole movie, another level. But the other day, Keanu and I were rehearsing our very difficult stunt scene, and this man is just rolling and throwing me and doing crazy stunts. And I'm like — I can't complain anymore. Because he is doing it! He truly is the best."

Of course, de Armas could not help but heap praise on Keanu Reeves while teasing the sequence, calling the beloved actor “the best.” A sentiment that seems to be shared by anyone who has ever worked with, or even met, the John Wick star.

Helmed by Total Recall and Die Hard 4 filmmaker Len Wiseman, Ballerina will take place between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and the upcoming John Wick: Chapter 4, introducing No Time to Die star Ana de Armas as a ballerina-assassin named Rooney. In true John Wick-style, Ballerina follows Rooney as she attempts to hunt down the assassins who killed her family. So, considering that Rooney and Wick will come to blows, was Baba Yaga one of the assassins responsible?

Alongside Ana de Armas and Keanu Reeves, Ballerina will see Ian McShane reprise the role of Winston Scott, the owner of the Continental Hotel, alongside Lance Reddick as Charon, the concierge at the Continental, and Anjelica Huston as "The Director.” The rest of the cast includes the likes of Gabriel Byrne (The Usual Suspects, Hereditary), Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), and Catalina Sandino Moreno (From, Maria Full of Grace).
