Joker director Todd Phillips is having a laugh with some rather amusing crossover fan art, sharing a photo to his Instagram account depicting Baby Yoda dressed up as Arthur Fleck. Though he's bearing the familiar face paint and trademark maroon suit worn by Joaquin Phoenix in the movie, Baby Yoda remains just as cute as ever. Humorously, Phillips also captions the photo with the altered Joker quote, "Is it just me or is it getting cozier out there?" Created by MJHiblenART, you can take a look at the fan art below.

The Child, most often referred to by his Baby Yoda nickname, was first introduced in the premiere episode of The Mandalorian. Because the series is set after the real Yoda's death, the little guy is not actually a baby Yoda, but as he looks just like an infant version of the famous Jedi, the alias is rather appropriate. Right away, the character became one of the most beloved from the Star Wars franchise and has already established himself as a pop culture icon. Tons of officially-licensed Baby Yoda merchandise is also on the way, which includes plush dolls and Funko Pop figures. As we can also see above, Baby Yoda is also the subject of an endless amount of fan art, many of which are rather amusing.

In the Todd Phillips directed Joker, Joaquin Phoenix stars as Arthur Fleck, a mentally-disturbed clown for hire who becomes Gotham City's most infamous criminal. Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, and Robert De Niro also star. The movie has smashed multiple box office records since its premiere in October, since becoming the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time. Comparing its profit to its modest budget, Joker is also the most profitable comic book-based movie ever made, and there have been rumors reported about a sequel soon entering development. Critically, the movie is also a hit, and it was recently given several nominations for the 2020 Golden Globe Awards.

As for The Mandalorian and the Golden Globes, the Star Wars series would more than likely have gotten some recognition at the event if the show had aired 150 minutes of footage before the deadline of Nov. 25. At the time, only 111 minutes of the series had aired. Still, it's pretty much a given that the series will be a serious contender in the upcoming years. As The Mandalorian has already been renewed for a second season, we'll also probably be seeing plenty of Baby Yoda for some time to come. For now, the remaining new episodes of the first season will premiere on Disney+ on Dec. 13, 18, and 27.

Joker continues to screen in theaters as its monumental profits continue to climb. As of now, however, Warner Bros. has yet to officially announced a follow-up movie, though it certainly seems inevitable. You can take the Clown Prince of Crime home when the movie is released on Blu-ray and DVD on Jan. 7, 2020. The Baby Yoda as Joker fan art shown above comes to us from Todd Phillips on Instagram.
