Just under two months since Warner Bros. picked up Jersey Boys, the studio has now put the project in turnaround. GK Films is currently seeking a new studio home for this adaptation of the stage musical, shopping the project to both 20th Century Fox and Paramount.

We reported in June that Jon Favreau is directing this musical from a screenplay by John Logan (Skyfall), based on the Broadway play by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. The story follows Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, and their rise to fame throughout the 1960s.

Producers Graham King and Tim Headington previously developed the project at Sony, but took it to Warner Bros. after signing an exclusive first-look deal. Production was initially slated to begin in January for a Christmas 2013 release date.
