Political commentator and comedian Jon Stewart doesn't see the White House in his future. Recently, an op-ed was published by Politico suggesting that Stewart is "exactly the person" the Democratic party needs to run on the ticket if Biden declines to run again for whatever reason in 2024. The piece is entitled "If Tucker Runs in 2024, Here's Who the Democrats Need," which even imagines a potential political showdown between Stewart and Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson.

To be clear, neither Stewart nor Carlson had publicly declared any intentions of running for president, and a potential campaign happening with either of the two has all just been speculation. But as it turns out, Stewart is already making it clear that he will not be running for office if Biden ends up bowing out. Noticing the attention that the story has brought his way, Stewart responded to the possibility of running for president and shut the whole thing down.

"Ummm…No thank you," Stewart said.

Previously, Stewart was asked by TMZ about the possibility of another celebrity becoming president after Donald Trump's controversial term in office. Stewart seemed to be pretty open to the idea, expressing that the person's background was not as important as their qualifications. As we now know, though, Stewart was not picturing himself running when making these comments.

"I don't know. It doesn't matter where it comes from, as long as it's a good person. A smart person," Stewart said. "I don't care. Truthfully, I don't care. As long as the president's qualified. I don't give a sh*t."

It's still possible that another celebrity will enter the mix for the 2024 presidential election. Shock jock Howard Stern has been teasing the possibility by talking about a potential campaign on The Howard Stern Show. Stern even named actor Bradley Cooper as his pick for vice president. For years, Stern has been a rather harsh critic of Trump, and he told his listeners that he might have to use his own star power to stand up to him if Trump runs for president again in 2024.

"I'll beat his ass," Stern said of taking on Trump in an election. "I said to Robin, and I hate to say this, but, but I said to her, 'I'm actually gonna probably have to run for president now.' The problem with most presidents is they have too big of an agenda. The only agenda I would have is to make the country fair again... The other thing is, if I do run for president, and I'm not f---ing around, I'm really thinking about it, because the only other thing I'm going to do is appoint five more Supreme Court justices."

Revealing his running mate, Stern added revealed that he got Bradley Cooper on board by adding, "It's exciting. I'll tell you how great this vice presidential pick is. He said to me, 'I'm in, but you know, I'm another white male.' And I said, 'I appreciate you saying that, but I believe you'll be such an asset to the ticket, that I think people will understand.'"
