Noomi Rapace Is Joined by Better Call Saul's Jonathan Banks in Constellation

Jonathan Banks has now said goodbye to Better Call Saul following the end of the sixth and final season. Thankfully, audiences didn't have to wait long for the actor to find his next starring role. The veteran actor, who has been playing fan favorite fixer Mike Ehrmantraut since debuting on Breaking Bad in 2009, will lead Constellation alongside Noomi Rapace in Constellation, a new series in the works at Apple TV. Details on Banks' role aren't yet clear, but Apple is confident in the series, giving it an eight-episode order.

This marks the first starring role for Jonathan Banks after his work in the Breaking Bad franchise. Banks came into the franchise by complete accident, as his role was created by the writers on the fly when Bob Odenkirk was unavailable to appear for a scripted scene as Saul Goodman, creating an immediate need for a new character. He quickly became a fan favorite and reprized the role for Better Call Saul starting with its first season. Banks is also known for his role in the classic series Wiseguy as well as movies like Airplane!, 48 Hrs., and Beverly Hills Cop.

Noomi Rapace, meanwhile, can be recognized for her role in the Swedish movie trilogy The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, appearing in that film along with its sequels The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest. The actress has also appeared in films like Prometheus, What Happened to Monday, Lamb, and You Won't Be Alone. She more recently appeared in the Swedish action-thriller Black Crab, the action outing Assassin Club alongside Henry Golding and Sam Neill, and the Italian-French television series Django.
