Jordana Brewster (Fast Five) has signed on as the female lead in TNT's reboot Dallas.

Cynthia Cidre created this new reboot, which follows the cousins John Ross and Christopher, children of J.R. and Bobby Ewing from the original Dallas series. Jordana Brewster will portray Elena, the daughter of the ranch's cook who is locked into a love triangle with John and Christopher.

Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray will reprise their roles of Sue Ellen and Bobby from the original series, which ran from 1978 to 1991. Larry Hagman, who portrayed J.R. Ewing, has verbally committed to the pilot, although he hasn't signed a deal yet. It is said that both TNT and Warner Horizon hatched an alternative pilot where J.R. only appears in flashbacks.
