Joseph Fiennes will portray the eccentric priest and Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi in a biopic to be directed by Boris Damast from a script by journalist Steven Freedman, according to Variety.

Damast will produce Vivaldi through his independent company Mechaniks. Andrea Kikot is co-producing.

Lena Headey also joins the biopic's cast, which includes Malcolm McDowell, Jacqueline Bisset and Zuleikha Robinson.

Freedman has spent more than two decades researching Vivaldi, whose most famous composition is The Four Seasons. Biopic follows the composer as a young priest assigned to serve as music master of a school for the abandoned, illegitimate daughters of Venice's courtesans. He bonds with the girls, which leads to his landing a concert of his music before the pope.
